Infant Mental Health

Infant Mental Health Chapter of Volusia/Flagler Information

Science has proven that there is much we can do to promote social and emotional competence of children beginning from infancy.  Parents, caregivers, and professionals work as a team in our local chapter to increase awareness about infant mental health and improve linkages between local programs and services.

Many infants and toddlers may exhibit difficult behaviors due to adverse experiences, developmental challenges, or medical problems.  Early identification and intervention are the keys to achieving the best outcome possible for our children.

Ensuring that parents and caregivers have access to the right kind of support is an important goal of our chapter.
