Dixie Morgese, Executive Director, is featured in the Daytona Beach News Journal with a special op-ed about the devastating budget cuts Healthy Start faces this week. The Senate has not backed down on cutting our program and changing proviso language that would reduce the number of Healthy Start Coalitions statewide. As Dixie so aptly writes:
“Senators are encouraged to consider the gravitas of their role, and the consequences of their decisions. As wisdom should be passed through the generations of village families, so should the wisdom pass from generation to generation of lawmakers. Don’t undo the gains of this 25-year legacy.”
Thank you for advocating for Healthy Start!
