Medicaid Family Planning Waiver Information

There is a special Medicaid waiver program for women, 14-55 years of age, providing coverage for family planning services. The Medicaid Family Planning Waiver eligibility criteria changed to now include women who recently lost Medicaid for any reason.

Under this program, women are provided

• annual physical exams including a pap smear,
• birth control supplies,
• pregnancy testing if indicated,
• limited treatment for sexually transmitted infections, and
• related medicines and lab tests.
